We cannot continuously carve up the Kogarah LGA just to sell it off to overseas investors – it will never end. Residents must make a stand and fight this ravenous hunger for making a fast buck at our expense. The safety of everyone’s children, which attend the many schools in this area, from infants to TAFE level, at which I taught for many years, deserve to be safe from motorists and predators, only something a caring community can provide them. The safety of patients to one of Sydney’s largest public hospitals, the private hospital and the many diagnostic and treatment clinics, should also be of paramount importance. If the traffic is reaching gridlock now, how will ambulances save people’s lives rushing them to the new Emergency Department – the consequences should be considered criminal.
